Step 3 - Bend the brackets

While the concrete cures, you just need to bend one side of an L-bracket up a bit to keep the bar from rolling off. The easiest way to do this is to use a hammer to pound the tip of one end of the bracket wile most of it is resting on a 4x4, or a rock.
As you can see in the photo, we will attach them to the 4x4's with the bolts, washer, lock washers and nuts.

Steps

  1. Dig the post holes
  2. Mix the concrete and level the 4x4's
  3. Bend the brackets
  4. Attach the first bracket
  5. Determine level and attach the second bracket
  6. Cut grooves / channel for chin-up bar on top of each 4x4.
  7. Bolt down chin-up bar
  8. Support braces and weight holders (optional)
