Step 2 - How to make the Weight Plates
This is actually SO easy! You need no experience or skill in
working with concrete.
The weights themselves
are made from concrete and painted with an epoxy concrete driveway
sealer.
- Read the concrete bag's directions:
Every mix
is a little different, so the amount of water to add, the amount
of time you have to work with it and how long before it sets are
a little different.
In general, it's about 1 gallon of water
per 50lbs of mix.
Mixing concrete requires no skill or
training, at least not for making some weight plates.
You''re just going to add the measure water to the concrete mix
in the mold (oil pan or tub) and use the plastic hand trowel to
stir and mix it until it is uniformly mixed and wet and has a
consistency or oatmeal or thick applesauce.
